Let us tell you just a little about ourselves...

We take you back to the spring of 1988...Steve and Tom began perfoming and writing together in Crystal Pistol, a melodic/ progressive outfit out of NYC.  While achieving great local success (as well as a publishing deal with Paramount), the band was ultimately never able to unearth the Holy Grail know as the "major record deal".  Charlie's path mirrored that of Steve and Tom's while with L.I., New York based band, Jesse James (also boasting former bandmate John Hampson of 'Nine Days' fame).

While we each continued playing and writing music individually, the 90's ushered in "real life" and an end of the day to day struggle known as "the music biz".  Mid-way through the 1990's, Steve got a call from Charlie (who he knew from mutual musicians/friends) to form DOA2000, a Fairfield County, CT hard rock cover band, blasting out power grunge at its finest.  Tthe choice for a guitar player was the proverbial "no-brainer", and a phone call to Tom completed the lineup.  The band played the Connecticut cover circuit until...you guessed it, 2000.   At the turn of the century, DOA2000 officially transformed into Funky Business, and has been together ever since.  

In August of 2005 (after a full ten years perfoming other peoples music together), Steve finally asked Charlie and Tom to help bring his own music back to life.  Another "no-brainer" and within an hour, doa2k was formed to become the band you see before you.   At present, we are diligently writing/rehearsing at our Southington, CT studio and are about to embark on the recording of debut offerring.   In the meantime, catch us around Connecticut doing our favorite thing...playing live!  This time (once again), it's our stuff!  Hope you dig it...
